Is it too late for individual over 50 to embark on AI as a next career?
I'm not sure if this is ok to post such a question here. Sorry, Admin pls delete post if you find it irrelevant here as per forum guidelines.
As you have read the topic title. Is it too late?
I am currently a system admin, and have recently started the AI4I programme. By the time, I'm ready for AIAP interview, I would probably be over 50. Does age have any bearing in the selection process? ...given the number of applicant is getting larger ... we also competing with the much younger ones as well.
Hi @frost. Thank you for your question.
Age is not a factor at all. In fact, we have AIAP graduates in the higher ages as well.
Yup, age is no barrier. Our AIAP have PMETS making up 30% of each cohort on average.
Hi @frost, as long as you can learn, unlearn and adapt fast, as well as work with folks of any age who might know more than you in certain areas, you are good to go!

Good post as it definitely encourages me as well... 😉
Maybe we can think like this: The higher in age means more life experience to help in new insights..
Let's reach out our goal together! Cheers!
