Any thoughts on the use of WEKA in Machine Learning?

I hear a lot about the use of Python in ML, but isn’t WEKA easy to learn and use for beginners?

As a mid career employee, Python is too daunting to learn 😳

Did you try the AI4E hands-on with Azure Machine Learning Studio? You can also use Orange Data Mining. There are several GUI based tools.

Whether GUI or Python, you still need to understand the fundamentals like maths, stats and how machine learning works.

Hi Laurence! Thank you for the reply. Yes, I have attended the AI4E presentation last week. The hands-on approach of solving an example using Azure Studio was quite helpful. I haven't heard of Orange Data Mining, but will look it up. Thank you for sharing.

Regarding your feedback on the fundamentals, I have been reading through the "My Journey" blog and it is quite inspiring to hear the stories and experiences of others. I plan to push through the challenge of learning the tools and the math.

Thank you!
